ASHLEIGH BERRYBarre class instructor
Ashleigh Berry is originally from Perth. She studied classical ballet (Vaganova Method) for 12 years before accepting a university position at Adelaide College of the Arts. She went on to complete her postgraduate Honours degree in dance at Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts in 2009.
Since then, she has danced professionally in Australia, the United Kingdom and Bulgaria for various choreographers and festival platforms, basing herself in London for the past three years. During her time overseas, she found a growing passion for health and wellbeing and subsequently worked with boutique studios Ten Pilates and Barrecore to train as a barre instructor and personal trainer.
She’s found that her lifetime of experience as a dancer has provided her with the knowledge and experience to teach others how to move efficiently and effectively. Ashleigh’s areas of expertise are diverse; with her specialities including rehabilitation, pre/post natal women and boosting performance for young semi-professional dance students. Her training methods are articulated and intelligently delivered and her first-hand experience with movement and injury makes her classes challenging, informative and fun.
